Our Programs

WCP offers child led, interest based activities, with the view that children are capable, competent, curious learners and we provide them with rich experiences. We utilize How Does Learning Happen, pedigogical approaches, in our planning and in our program outcomes by asking inquisitive questions and by supporting critical thinking. Our teachers, staff, and volunteers engage children’s inquiries, develop a sense of wonder and engagement as they explore hands-on experiences. We focus on relationship building and responsive relationships that support emotional well being, including using the environment as our 3rd teacher. The teachers see themselves as co-learners alongside the children and are excited to see where their interests lead us!
