Welcome to Waterloo Co-operative Preschool

The Preschool is a non-profit organization that consists of families who are interested in the activities of their children. With the full co-operation of the membership, the Co-op provides a stimulating experience for the child, as well as giving parents a greater insight into their child's early education.

The Preschool occupies the lower level of the Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo. The facility includes several play areas and provides a cozy yet stimulating atmosphere for the children. We also have access to an outdoor play space.

We offer:

• incredibly experienced and caring staff with many years of childcare experience

• fun crafts and activities change daily to encourage creativity

• exciting themes change every 1-2 weeks; toys rotated often

• yummy, nutritious snacks to fuel those little bellies

• field trips and parties organized throughout the school year

• receive a calendar which outlines themes and outings for the entire year

• monthly newsletters keep you informed about your child's preschool, teach moms and dads the words to silly songs, and share muffin and play dough recipes

• choose your level of participation; there are many opportunities to get involved!

PROGRAM

Over the past 30 years, Waterloo Co-operative Preschool has developed into a school with a variety of programs that meet the needs of children ages 18 months to 4 years.

All children in the toddler program must be 18 months old by the start of school. There is a maximum of 10 students per class and supervision is provided by one teacher and two duty parents.

Preschoolers

Tuesday/Friday Morning Preschool Program

(30 months and toilet trained)

9:00-11:15am September-June

$93/month full participation

$123/month non-participation

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday Afternoon Preschool Program

(30 months and toilet trained)

12:45pm-3:00pm Sept-June

$140/month full participation

$185/month non-participation

All children in the preschool program must be 30 months old and toilet trained. There is a maximum of 16 students per class; supervision is provided by 2 teachers and one duty parent.
